Information for Let's Grow Families
During what is a rapidly changing time for all of us, I want to keep our families updated on what we are doing at our Center to keep our students, staff and families safe and informed. For our Center to reopen, we have been given new Guidelines from the Department of Children and Families. We understand these changes may be difficult and we are here to support you. This guidance is heavily derived from guidance documents produced by the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), however, in many instances it has been supplemented or modified to reflect the needs of New Jersey.
We've created this page to share the measures we're taking to keep the children, their families and the staff members safe at our Center.
As always, we want to thank our Let’s Grow family for your overwhelming support and understanding during this uncertain and difficult time. Again, it is quite possible these Guidelines will change over the next weeks or even months. Until then, it is important we work together to put the little Let’s Growers first.
Understandably so, this will take some time for the parents, children and staff to adjust to our new Guidelines. Let's Grow is here every step of the way to guide you and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Check out some of our new policies and procedures:
Drop- off and Pick -up
Our new routines for drop-off and pick-up are designed to ensure everyone in our School stays healthy and safe. Please be mindful of keeping a six-foot distance from others during drop-off and pick-up.
Drop off time will be from 7:45am-8:25am.
Please pull up by the front door of our building and call the Center number: (732-252-9906).
Once you inform us you have arrived, a Staff member will help your child enter the building and begin the screening process (located at the entrance of the door).
Please pull up by the entrance of our building and call the Center number: (732-252-9906).
Once you inform us you have arrived, a Staff member will do another screening before bringing your child out to your car.
Practicing Social Distancing
We will practice social distancing in the classroom throughout the day. Your children will remain in the classroom or on the playground with their teachers and classmates. All special events and visitors will be postponed until further notice.
What to do about food?
Staff will wear gloves and a mask while helping children with snack time and lunch.
Snack and Lunch:
When possible, please send snack in throw away container (such as Ziploc bag, plastic wrap, etc.)
The Center will provide plastic cutlery and paper plates.
Please label AM snack, PM snack and lunch with your child’s name.
Keeping it clean
Our Center will implement enhanced cleaning and sanitation practices at the start and end of each day. (Throughout the day, staff will be required to frequently clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, toys, electronics, tabletop surfaces, toilets and sinks, playground structures, learning materials, etc.)
When feasible, children shall wear face coverings within the facility. Cloth face coverings should NOT be put on children under age two because of the danger of suffocation. Our staff is mandated to wear face coverings during Operating Hours.
If you are scheduled to come tour our facility after Operating Hours, we ask you to wear a face covering upon entering our doors. Thank you.
What can we do at home?
Practice what we're doing at school!
Practice frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Advise your child to avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue or into elbow, then throw the tissue in the trash and clean hands with soap and water.
